What does it mean to live as a Christian?

It means to live in the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, unashamed of our faith in Him. Being a Christian does not mean that you are perfect. It actually means the opposite; that you recognize that you’re a sinner in need of a Savior. As believers in Christ, we find great peace in the promises of God. It’s not that we don’t face problems, but when we face them we know that God is always with us (Matthew 28:20). As followers of Christ, God has given us His Holy Spirit to dwell in us and transform us to be more like Him. We know that in this life we will never be perfect, but if we strive to follow Him, He has grace for us when we fall or make mistakes. One of the greatest privileges as a believer is that we have a direct line to God at all times through prayer. We know that God hears us and cares about whatever concerns us, big or small. Just think about that… We can go before the throne of almighty God as His children and talk to Him and know that He will listen. Even more amazing, He will talk to us and reveal things to us. We also have the promise that when we submit our lives to God, He actually adopts us as His children and we will get to live with Him and share in His inheritance forever. This means that even when we die physically we will not die spiritually, but live forever with God in His kingdom. Do you live with this assurance in your life? If not, all you have to do is recognize that you are sinner in need of a Savior and repent for your sin. Once you have done that, place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and receive His gift of eternal life. When Christ comes into your life and you experience His promises as His child, you will never be the same!
